How many identifications do I need?
Count the moments that matter rather than page views: signups, logins, checkouts, reward claims. Build and test with development and staging keys, which are free, then use your signup credit to measure real production volume before adding funds.
What exactly is charged?
A production identification is $0.003. A production request we cannot identify is $0.0005. Development and staging keys, lookups that fail, retries of the same request, refused requests, and reading results from your server are free.
What happens when my balance runs out?
Production requests are refused until you add funds, so usage only ever spends money you put in and nothing arrives as a bill at the end of the month. A burst of traffic can take the balance a little below zero before requests pause; your next top-up settles it. Auto top-up keeps it from happening at all.
Does my credit expire?
No. Credit you buy and your signup credit never expire. The only credit with an end date is a promotional grant, which says so when it is given.
How does auto top-up work?
Save a card, choose a threshold and an amount between $5 and $5,000. When the balance falls below the threshold, the card is charged that amount. By default it runs at most three times a day, five minutes apart, and pauses after three declined charges in a row.
Are there volume discounts or annual plans?
There are no plans and nothing to commit to: an identification is $0.003 at every volume, and you only fund what you use. If you are planning a very large rollout, talk to us about rate limits.
